Day one - Stratford-upon-Avon
Departing South Wales, we head for the first destination of the weekend. Famed for being the birthplace of Shakespeare, Stratford is a vibrant town centre with a mix of typical high street shopping and independent stores, as well as excellent restaurants and cafes. Add Ann Hathaway's cottage and the opportunity to cruise on the River Avon, and as the man himself said..... "I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it"...
From here, it's back to the Holiday Inn Birmingham (M6, J7) for your overnight stay, which includes an evening meal and breakfast the following morning.
A note about your included evening meal: For convenience and value, your break includes a simple evening meal as part of your hotel stay. The hotel's evening meal is designed to cater for a larger group of people together at the same time, so you may find that the choices are more basic and limited. We recognise that it may not always meet the expectations of those who would prefer a superior dining experience from an extensive menu, and we recommend that you bear this in mind when booking this break. Most hotels have alternative options via a bar and or room service menu to purchase at your own expense, should the inclusive evening meal not meet your personal preference.

Day Two - Worcester
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we'll check out by 10:00 a.m. to make our way to the city of Worcester, a beautiful Cathedral and University City with a fascinating history, located in the heart of the West Midlands on the banks of the River Severn.
Just a stone’s throw away from the Cathedral are historic Friar Street and New Street, where two of Worcester’s oldest and most historic pubs are located. The Cardinal’s Hat in Friar Street is the city’s oldest inn, dating back to the fourteenth century, serving craft ales and the most delicious homemade pies and sharing boards.
Within the city centre, you'll also find fantastic independent shops and boutiques sit alongside some of the country’s best-loved retailers. Worcester hosts stores full of one-off gifts, luxury fashion and jewellery, everyday necessities, antiques, and much more, making it the perfect destination for some retail therapy!
