Join us on a seven day holiday to the beautiful Isle of Wight – staying on Sandown’s seafront
Day One
Departing South Wales we head to Portsmouth for our afternoon sailing over the Solent to Fishbourne on the Isle itself. From here it’s a short drive to our hotel for the week, the excellent seafront Trouville Hotel in Sandown.
Here you’ll enjoy a six night stay with a three course evening meal and breakfast included, along with entertainment most evenings. The Trouville Hotel offers a comfortable stay for all – with its seafront location and sea view hotel rooms* (except for single rooms) the hotel’s lounge and bars boast stunning views of Sandown Bay.
Sandown sits on the Southern coast of the Isle of Wight, sheltered in a beautiful bay, and is famed for its long stretches of golden sandy beach and the traditional British seafront and pier.
Day Two - Island Tour
Today we take you around the south, west and north of the island. Taking in the channel views as we head to Alum bay and the Needles and Yarmouth with its wooden pier.
Day Three - Free day in Sandown
A free day to relax & explore in Sandown; it’s a great place to relax and spend quality time strolling along Sandown Beach followed by an ice cream or refreshments at one of the licensed beach cafés. The main town beach stretches all the way along the Esplanade where it meets with Yaverland Beach, which is regarded as one of the Isle of Wight’s best beaches.
Day Four – Newport and Cowes (with Optional Excursion to Osborne House)
Newport is the Isle of Wight’s capital town, can be found in the heart of the island next to the banks of the River Medina. The town is also the Island’s main shopping destination, with pedestrianised streets and well known brands.. From here it's a short drive to Cowes. Famed for it's Yacht racing, the town is home to fabulous pubs and restaurants along with stunning views back over the Solent towards Southampton.
If you prefer, your driver will offer you the option of being dropped off at Osborne House for the day, however please be aware that the cost of entry to Osborne House is not included with your holiday.
Day Five - Isle of Wight Steam Railway
On today's excursion we'll take a step back to a bygone era with a journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Relax in beautifully restored Victorian and Edwardian carriages as the train makes its way through the beautiful countryside. Whilst here explore and discover the historic collection of locomotives, carriages and wagons through Train Story.
Day Six - Ryde
This glorious seafront town faces back to the mainland and Portsmouth. With the 2nd longest pier in the country, you can even hop on a hovercraft from here!. We return to Sandown in the afternoon, your driver will offer you a choice of departure points along the way.
Day Seven
Time to head home. Back to Fishbourne for your crossing to Portsmouth before returning to Wales that evening.

All of the hotel's twin, double and treble rooms enjoy a sea view. Non sea view single rooms are supplement free, single rooms with a sea view are available upon request and carry a supplement.
Relax and unwind, days can be spent lazing in the bars and lounge,watching the ocean liners pass and the world go by whilst enjoying the hotel’s complimentary WIFI facility. The hotel comes alive in the evening, with live entertainment in the stylish and Island’s largest hotel ballroom. Out of season, the Trouville Hotel is a firm favourite for dancing holidays, renowned for line dancing, sequence, rock n roll and more.
Accessibility: The hotel does not have any ground floor, or accessible rooms for guests with disabilities. However, they can accommodate guests who use a wheelchair or walker some of the time. There is ramp access to the Hotel via a side door that leads through the restaurant but this is quite steep. Wheelchairs/mobility scooters are not suitable for use in the lift, corridors and bedrooms so must remain in reception. The Hotel has a limited number of walk-in showers and these must be requested at the time of booking. Please note some rooms with walk-in showers are located through 4/5 fire doors, so are not near the lift. It is the guest’s responsibility to inform the Hotel of any persons in the party with mobility problems, so that the Hotel can allocate the most appropriate rooms.
The Hotel does not accept responsibility for the evacuation of any guest in the event of an emergency. All guests should be able to evacuate the hotel unassisted.
